Research shows that ABA is the most effective treatment for individuals with mental disabilities such as Autism, intellectual disabilities, development delays, and more. Data shows that there is an increasingly significant portion of the population who can benefit from these types of services. We anticipate our clients receive skills to promote independent living, to improve communication skills, to receive self-help and self-care skills, and to obtain skills to manage and eliminate problem behaviors. We use techniques and strategies based on applied behavioral analysis. When onboarding a client, we conduct a behavioral assessment. This provides us with information regarding areas of improvement. Based on this, the clinical team creates a customized intervention plan.

At Turning Point Healthcare, our skilled therapists (RBT’s) work with children in their homes, schools, out in the community, based program based upon the child’s specific needs. Our programs are highly intensive and closely supervised by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA’s). Our BCBA’s are highly trained and experienced clinical supervisors who oversee the child’s treatment team. We bring in over 14 years of experience in the field. We strive to provide the highest quality ABA services to our clients through our model of high levels of supervision, extensive initial and ongoing staff training, and ongoing professional development and support.

Every treatment begins with an in-depth functional assessment to objectively identify and measure behavioral, social, and communication issues that will serve as the foundational goal of the client’s customized therapy program.  FBA includes a comprehensive approach utilization of questions, and variety of testing tools. The process of FBA consists of an interview with parents, in person observation of the child in variety of settings, and a written treatment plan that recommends Behavioral Health Treatment, if medically necessary. 

Following the assessment, our team will work with each client and their family members to craft an evidence-based therapy program that address the client’s unique challenges while enabling them to reach their full potential. Each treatment plan is unique and individualized to your child’s needs addressing areas such as communication, listening, socialization, adaptive-skills, self-care skills, and understanding/coping with their and other’s emotions.

Here at Turning Point Healthcare, we want your family to feel confident and empowered utilizing ABA’s methodologies in your home and community. Our intensive parent mentorship program is utilized in our ABA programs, but can also be received separately. The program will provide you with skills to better understand your child’s diagnosis, and navigate through their behaviors, to help them acquire skills for a better and improved lifestyle.
